MREPC SCHOLARSHIP

So, what will be offered by the mrepc scholarship to the interested applicants:

+ FULL TUITION FEES
+ RM5K ALLOWANCE PER YEAR
+ INTERNSHIP
+ JOB AFTER STUDY

for the students who are pursuing their study in private universities, these scholar will be their advantages as the scholarship provide full tuition fees.



so, for all of person out there reading this blog, i want to tell you that i have made a freakishly gigantic mistake in my life.

firstly, i doing my diploma in uitm. the tuition cost are RM 450+-(i dont remember).
during that time i got JPA scholarship which provide RM4330.00 per semester.
can you imagine how heavenly loaded for the school leavers at that time.

then i proceed my study in degree still at uitm in which the cost are RM530 per semester.
i assume the jpa contract will be continue when i pursue the degree. but no,students have to re apply the scholarship.
so i did apply, and i dont get the scholarship. then i apply for the appeal for the scholarship and i even create an appeal letter and send to the JPA,but still,i dont get the scholarship.

it was a huge let down to me.i am very depressed that time. so i apply for every other scholarship available from time to time.

 i apply for shell and i fail during the cubic test (if im not mistaken).
i apply for petronas (no answer at all)
i apply for jpa again and mrepc (jan-july 2015)
these two scholarship have a positive feedback.

for mrepc scholarship, i got the interview session with them. during the interview, there were about 24 applicant who attend, 3 malay's, several  malay's girl, very few indians, and the rest of them are chinese. that time its like a very competitve atmosphere in the room.
there was a written test, and i dont remember what was the topics given, and the interview with the mrepc staff.

at first, i think i have made them feelings excited with the story that i tell them, then comes the question that have made me answer in horribly wrong.

the result of mrepc was late. during that time i got the offer from jpa scholarship. so i was searching on the internet on how much was the allowance provided by mrepc so that i can choose for a better scholarship. then i found on some website stated that they will provide a maximum of 20k per year.

based on these findings, i am very enthusiast to obtain the mrepc scholar.but the result still dont came out. in the meantime, the due date for me to accpet the JPA scholarship is coming near. this is when i did the very wrong decision in my life. i did not accept the JPA scholarship which they will provide me with RM5k every semester. and i am very stupid. errrgggjhhh.

if there was time machine i will kick my pas self in the head very damn hard.

so the mrepc result came out and i dont get it. can you feel the depression each time you inhale?

i am very frustrated.very very very frustrated as i dont get the mrepc scholarship and i purposefully decline the jpa offer. and i decide to just move on, and wait for the next opportunity.

suddenly,  the mrepc staff call me and ask me if i still interest in the scholarship,that time im very happy to hear it.again my sense of judgement lost. then i calm myself down and ask how much mrepc will provide for each student.

they say, as i mention above, full tuition support and RM5k every year.

if i was study in private university, these will be my advantages since the fees can go up to 10k per year or beyond.

since i only study in uitm, the better scholarship will be jpa. the fees not even exceed 1k,and i will have balance of 4k to be enjoy for the rest of the semester and even have some savings.

i dont want to lose any opportunity again,so these time i think i will accept this mrepc offer even its not very much compared to the jpa for uitm students, i hope when i finish my study, i will be able to generate more money as preparation of adult life when i work with them. a busy life.

i have the feel to refuse this offer as the small allowance.that is what you got when you always being loaded and then suddenly it you became poor. i know there are always the unfortunate persons out there,they might not eat this day, they have to ask others for foods, i need to plant these kind of thought in my mind so that i will be more grateful.

i guess you might already know about the STAR program, which given the opportunity to JPA scholar to work in private sector. so when i have complete my bond with mrepc, if the salary when i work with them is quite nice i might still work for them, but if there is a higher salary especially comes from the oil and gas company, i will work with them and next,obtain the IR. title for myself and bla bla bla.......


so the conclusion,

-if you study in private university, mrepc or any other private sector scholarship is the best
-if you study in uitm, apply jpa,shell or petronas only.
-if you are given several opportunities, evaluate each opportunity in details, dont miss out any single information.
-just ask the organization that provide you the scholarship, the amount, and any other benefits provided for their scholars so that you can make a better decision.

please dont make the same mistake as i am.

fuh the entire conversation cost about 2++ ringgit u know. kind of shock sikit kat situ pasal da lame x kol org, skarang ni sume wassap je kan. so pengajaran y dapat harini:

• kalau kite ade bond ngan JPA kite x payah risau da nak kne kje ngan kerajaan je, kite slalu risau ape gune aq blaja selama ni dalam bidang sekian2 tapi keje bidang laen pulak y x best pulak tu.
• kite bole gune bond dgn JPA(kerajaan) tu untuk keje dalam sektor private y da ade list kat dalam program STAR tu.
• kalau dalam previous study da ade bond ngan JPA, buat lapor diri, then penangguhan kontrak, then proceed je ngan study sekarng.
• then apply je pape scholar untuk funding y'olls punye study, then if ade Rezeki y Allah sediakan untuk Y'olls, n dapat scholar y u nak tu, cek dlu ade x dalam Star program kalau funder tu from private sector, kalau ade, u kol org JPA konfem kan y U boleh amik scholar from company tu then u kol org dari company tu pulak nak konfem kan y diorang ade join Star program tu.

tujuan minta cek syarikat y join STAR program tu nanti xde la ade clash of clans ke clash of titans ke kan. so skali lagi minta la sape2 y bace blog ni bagi la komen sikit, bukan ape nak pastikan aq ni x syiok sendiri la.

THE STAR PROGRAM BY JPA

First of all I've been crazy to think that in which part of the government sector, I, who are major in
chemical engineering can serve them.well the answer is no of course. not a single places i can emphasis and apply all my knowledge.so, on Biasiswa JPA facebook page, i notice that the government initiate this program called Scholarship Talent Attraction and Retention (STAR)So what the heck is this program all about.From the reading of the sites, it appeared that the government


Enabling Government scholars to serve their bond with private sector employers


yeah that sound sick right.This is few benefits for participate in this program:

1. As a JPA scholar, you can work and serve your bond with Malaysia's leading private sector companies
2. Develop your career with key Malaysian employers
3. Contribute back to Malaysia as a government scholar
4. No recall by government once approved by JPA, scholar can continue to serve the scholarship bond with the company.

This is the Guidelines for the JPA Scholars to participate with the program:

1. Scholar graduates & reports to JPA and applies to SPANote: With effect from 1 November 2011, a 3-month waiting period is imposed to allow recruitment into the public service.
2. JPA shares list of scholars with TalentCorp
3. Scholar responds to STAR email to activate account (Upload CV + Complete Profile)
4. Employed scholar must proceed to report employment by emailing offer letter to star@talentcorp.com.my
5. Unemployed scholar’s completed profile and CV will be accessible by registered STAR companies
6. STAR submits documentation of employed scholar to JPA for electronic approval
7. JPA will issue Surat Arahan Berkhidmat (SAB) to employed scholars and companies
8. Scholar serves government bond in company via STAR with effect from start of employment date

Lastly, based on my opinion, this is the best idea someone have came up with. This program gave benefits to graduates, private companies and of course the government themselves.

1. Students (which is the JPA scholars all around the globe ) are able to work based on what they have studied. All of their knowledge become useful. they will be motivated in doing their job. They happy and love doing their job. these is all because the job were related to their interest. they are able to choose their company to be serve
   
   
2. For the private sectors, the amount of quality labors they can have  were provided and supplied by the government. well generally, the quality of most JPA scholars were outstanding. so the privates sector do not have to worry about the capability of their interns or fresh graduates supplied by government in handling their tasks. the JPA scholars might be able to serve to their company because, as mention in part 1, they love their job.
   
   
3. And for Malaysia, the cooperation of government, private sectors and  the JPA scholars, i am pretty sure there are some benefits for the government themselves. the economic growth of Malaysia might improve faster. the unemployed graduates rates might be decreases annually. 

All in all, this idea is the win-win situation for government, private companies and also the students.

OK, on the previous post i mention about the Government link companies, so the companies in the STAR program do not bound with the GLC rules or legislation or something, and the keyword up there are just to help other graduates who regret by taking the scholarship and being bond with the JPA to read the articles. i hope i make myself clear. so any comment or question please leave it down there.
